Why Aliens Have NOT Visited Earth

The Prime Directive, Ancient Aliens, Physics and what's really up with Area 51?

There was a Congressional hearing the other day about UFOs and I have thoughts. Air Force veteran and former member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency David Grusch testified that he knows where the government is keeping multiple UFOs or as the intel folks call them Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP, apparently, UFO has negative connotations so they came up with a different acronym). He said he has personally interviewed 40 people over a four year time period and he knows exactly where the UAP are being kept. When asked where the sites were, he stated he was limited in what he could disclose publicly, but stated that the locations have been provided to an inspector general and “some” to the congressional intelligence panels. Grusch said had helped lead efforts to study UAPs for years, but his access was removed when he tried to discover information about an alleged multi-decade retrieval and reverse-engineering program. This is just the latest in a slew of UFO connected congressional hearings and statements over the last few years. The UFO community has been going nuts over the supposed “truth” that is going to come out, but after every hearing nothing concrete is ever released. Even President Trump talked about UFOs but then nothing happened. If there ever was a person that would have tweeted about UFOs it was him.

Right off the bat, I want to say that I’m pretty sure that life exists on other planets in this universe. We have detected 4,000 planets around other stars just in our galaxy and the universe contains around 200 billion galaxies, so the odds are really good that life is out there. Whether or not it is intelligent and advanced enough to travel here is another question. I don’t believe that aliens have ever visited Earth no matter what “evidence” Erich Von Daniken and Giorgio Tsoukalos say they have. Here’s why.

The Prime Directive Conundrum:

In all the versions of Star Trek, (even the horrible retconned J.J. Abrams versions) there is Starfleet General Order #1 which states:

As the right of each sentient species to live in accordance with its normal cultural evolution is considered sacred, no Starfleet personnel may interfere with the normal and healthy development of alien life and culture. Such interference includes introducing superior knowledge, strength, or technology to a world whose society is incapable of handling such advantages wisely. Starfleet personnel may not violate this Prime Directive, even to save their lives and/or their ship, unless they are acting to right an earlier violation or an accidental contamination of said culture. This directive takes precedence over any and all other considerations, and carries with it the highest moral obligation.

If simple earth people can come up with something like this, than aliens with technology far beyond ours and most likely, morals more advanced then ours, would have something similar. Therefore they would not involve themselves in assisting Egyptians, Mayans, Minoans are whichever society that you want to talk about. If the aliens did not have a Prime Directive-like order, then there are two choices. Either they would be peaceful, but misguided explorers who just wanted to help, or they wouldn't and be, and we’d all be food or slaves speaking Klingon or Huttese. If they were just misguided explorers than why would they be interested in helping a backward planet not anywhere close to space travel? Maybe they were just a bunch of smartass cargo ship crewmen (from the Intergalactic Union of Teamsters, Local 1123435.6), that thought it would be fun to pretend to be gods and thought “If we build this pyramid what a mystery it would be for their future generations to explain!” That would explain why they haven't come back. Of course maybe when they were building the pyramids they caught smallpox, took it back to their galaxy and they were all wiped out and now we're all alone in the universe. Maybe, like in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, it’s the idle rich kids of the galaxy that are bored and find it amusing to find a planet that hasn’t made contact and land their ships in front of rubes while dancing around in green suits.

Technology:

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to grandma’s, but that's nothing to space, the universe, at least as far as astrophysicists can see, is 93 Billion light years in diameter (a light year is 5,880,000,000,000 miles). The fastest thing ever made by humans is the Parker Solar Probe which is humming along at 330,000 MPH but it would still take 2,034 years to travel ONE light year (it would take 8,624 years to get to the nearest star Proxima Centauri which is 4.24 light-years away). So obviously if aliens are coming to our planet they have to have technology (pun intended) light years ahead of ours. Don’t you think that if they possessed such technology, they would also have technology that would allow them to shield their vessels from our eyes and radar? Even if they are so advanced that they have forgotten radar, the first time they are tracked by a military aircraft, it would let them know they can be seen and you would think they would stop buzzing around until they solved that issue.

I mean if they can break the laws of physics as we know them, they should be able to hide the fact that they’re here. Also, if they have such high tech equipment why do they even need to come into the atmosphere to check us out? Our satellites can see us just fine from space, in fact why don’t they just tap into those to keep an eye on us? If they don’t care about being spotted that would seem to lean more to the bad end of the scale and maybe we should start think of a plan to resist, even if it would most likely be futile. If their intentions are honorable than why haven’t they just landed on the National Mall and said “Hi!”, here is a warp drive? I also have to go back to the Prime Directive conundrum, I find it hard to believe that any race of beings with this level of technology doesn’t have some kind of protocol for making first contact. If they don’t, what does that say about them?

Someone, told me that I don’t get it, he said, that to the aliens, we are like ants are to us, and we don’t care if ants know about us. First, the ants and us have existed on the same planet for a long time, they have to be aware of us in some way. Second, when ants are aware of us and might even be chasing us, we just walk away, we don’t play around, zooming up to them then zooming away saying look at what I can do, catch me if you can? Thirdly, if we are so backward that we are below their notice, than why aren’t don’t just see them all the time? Lastly, we use our superior technology to kill ants all the time, since for the most part they are just pests to us, and the aliens haven’t done that to us, yet. The actions of these supposed UAP don’t fit into any definable category of behavior, some just move through the sky, others seem to play around with fighters sent to intercept them. There also seem to be more than one kind of craft, what would be the purpose of that? They also seem to have been up to this for a long time. Of course we can’t know how long but at least since 1947, that 76 years, if they’re just keeping an eye on us they are really bad at it. What if these radar sightings (and that’s all they are, never visual sightings by these pilots), are the work of malicious software designers, maybe they have put code into the operating systems of the radars to generate false reading at random, just for their entertainment. Mr. Grusch stated in his testimony that we have been using multiple crashed alien crafts to reverse engineer the technology. This begs a few questions; One, why are so many alien craft crashing on our planet? Do we have a treacherous upper atmosphere that somehow affects alien craft but not our own? Two, If we have been working on these craft for years we haven’t gotten very far with it. Maybe we got stealth technology from alien vessels, although the Horten brothers in Nazi Germany created the first aircraft with the beginnings of that tech with their HO-229 flying wing in 1945,

but we don’t seem to have gotten anything else. No lasers, cloaking devices or warp drive to be seen.

Physics:

I’m not talking the high school kind, I’m talking about the laws of Physics that govern the universe as we know it. Unless the aliens have figured out some way around E = mc² then they are plodding along in space just like us. Physicists are unsure if the laws of physics are immutable or can change over time but they don't see a scenario where the universe could remain stable if the laws could change. So if the laws of physics are fixed, then what tricks have the aliens used to be able to travel large interstellar distances in acceptable times? Are black holes not the end of everything like we think, but a passage somewhere else? Have they figured out a way to bend space and travel without moving, like in Dune? Can they create a hyperspace field and enter a different dimension like in Star Wars and Star Trek? Either way, I go back to my last point. With that kind of technology how come they keep being spotted?

Area 51

Area 51 is the most famous site in the world that, for much of it’s history, didn’t officially exist. Everyone knows about it, you can watch videos where people drive near it and get stopped by Security. In fact in 2007 the US government acknowledged that it did exist and that top secret testing went on there. What most people don’t know is that Area 51 sits inside an even larger area, about the size of Connecticut, called the Nevada Test and Training Range. This includes the Nevada Proving Grounds 1,350 acres, divided into 25 separate sections, where over 100 atmospheric and 900 underground atomic bomb tests were conducted.

Area 51 was established in April of 1955 for the development of Project Aquatone, the U2 spy plane, which required absolute secrecy and therefore couldn’t be conducted at either Edwards Air Force Base or the Lockheed facility in California. Other Top Secret airplanes were developed and tested there including the A-12 Oxcart, the CIA version of the SR-71 spy plane, the F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter and the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber. Those are the reasons the government says the base doesn’t exists, not as a place to hide a “crashed alien spacecraft” and “dead alien bodies”. Have any of these supposed alien experts ever thought that the military might use a fake secret to hide a real one? Or that the military thought a secret they had, was a bigger secret than UFOs and aliens?

LA Times Magazine Editor Annie Jacobsen wrote a well-researched book entitled Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base. In the book she writes that the government, especially CIA Director Walter Bedell Smith, was very worried about the reaction to the October 31, 1938 broadcast of War of the Worlds and the panic it caused in America. Smith felt that it was a threat to national security because people's susceptibility to hysteria could make the nation's early air defense warning system vulnerable to a real Soviet attack. Along side this hysteria concern, was the concern that two two former Third Reich aerospace designers brothers Reimar and Walter Horten, had allegedly created a flying disc. German scientists captured by the Allies, described it as a cake with a slice cut out of it. After World War II, American intelligence agents fanned out across Europe seeking the Horten brothers to find out if, in fact, they had made a flying disc. The intelligence agents eventually found one brother in Argentina (imagine that) and the other in Baden Baden (a city so nice they named it twice). They tried to get answers about the flying disc but were unable to get anything definitive out of either of them. They were also coy on the subject of any interactions they may have had with the Soviet Union. Maybe they built an aircraft for them, maybe not. Maybe they gave them plans for aircraft they had been working on, maybe not. Either way, the government was concerned that the Horten brothers had made a flying disc for the Russians, and that might account for some of the sightings of flying discs which were being seen by thousands of Americans in late 1940s and early '50s causing a kind of panic. According to Ms. Jacobsen’s sources, who were a group of scientists, engineers and physicists who worked in Area 51 on the various projects they had going. A flying disc really did crash in New Mexico, it was transported to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and then in 1951 it was transferred to Area 51, which is how the base got it’s name. One of the many people Ms. Jacobsen interviewed for her book, an engineer who worked with the crash debris, said the the craft was obviously Russian because all the labels for the controls were written in the Cyrillic alphabet, he also said that there were bodies recovered with the craft. The source said the bodies were not normal but were obviously not alien in origin. The source said that the bodies were most definitely human adults but had been surgically altered to appear child-sized with large heads and no noses. He said that the engineers had been informed that these were the result of a Soviet human experimentation program. Why, you might wonder, would the Soviets go to so much trouble to do this vile thing? It goes back to the reaction of the American public to the War of the Worlds broadcast. Apparently, Walter Smith wasn’t the only one who noticed the reaction of Americans to that show, both Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin took note of it, Hitler actually mentioned it in a speech. Stalin, especially, was was fascinated by the American susceptibility toward science fiction and his plan, according to the source, was to create panic in the United States with a belief that a UFO had landed with aliens inside of it. Ms. Jacobsen states that in her opinion and confirmed by her source, the pilots of that craft had been surgically altered by Nazi “Angel of Death” Dr. Josef Mengele. Dr. Mengele had fled Auschwitz in January of 1945 and disappeared, but according to CIA records spent some time in the Soviet Union where he continued his barbaric work on human subjects, before moving to South America. Why didn't President Truman reveal this to the country and expose the Soviet Union’s barbarity? According to Ms. Jacobsen’s source, the United States decided to conduct similar experiments, so it was never revealed to the public. Who made this decision? It was President Truman’s science advisor, Vannevar Bush, who convinced the President to keep it a secret. Bush is a shadowy figure in American history (I know I’m getting off track but he’s important). Bush is the founder of the Raytheon Corporation (currently the sixth biggest defense contractor), he was initially in charge of the Manhattan Project and was heavily involved in EG&G (Edgerton, Germeshausen, and Grier, another shadowy defense contractor) a contractor that worked with the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) as well as the company that invented the firing mechanism for the atomic bombs. Not much is known about EG&G’s activities during the 50s and 60s because it is still classified under AEC rules, but Bush believed that it should be a priority for the US to figure out what the Soviets had done, and we began our own rogue program with human experiments. Remember we also injected people with syphilis, influenza, herpes and malaria. As well as all the radiation experiments conducted by the Atomic Energy Commission. If the government is willing to do this, is it so hard to believe that they might be willing to experiment with the alterations of humans? This all comes down to believing the source. Ms. Jacobsen was asked about that and her response was this:

“I worked with him for 18 months, to research this book, he had top-secret clearance as well as a Q clearance. He was a member of the Manhattan Project. His credentials are impeccable to me. During hundreds of hours of interviews, I fact-checked every other fact that he ever gave me. I accessed his medical records. I accessed his war records. I accessed his full military record. He worked for the Atomic Energy Commission across three decades. The source is legitimate.”

So if she believes her source and we believe her then the biggest argument of alien believers is thrown right out the window. If you don’t believe her than you don’t understand human nature and the quest for power within us all. There are people out there who believe that anything is good if you are using it to serve a good end, like the defense of your country.

Ancient Aliens

If you have ever watched the program on the History Channel called Ancient Aliens, then you know that they travel around the world tell us that all the ancient ruins in the world were built by aliens (see the meme at the top). They say that all the pyramids in the world are alien spaceship refueling stations and use the power of the earth to fill their tanks. They say that places like Pumapunku in Bolivia must have been built by aliens because they can’t figure out how stone age man would have done it. That is also supposed to be a refueling base but this time the aliens blew it up when they were done. I wonder why they destroyed this one but not the other ones and why do they need so many? Why didn’t they just create these stations where there were no people? Why did the aliens interact with all these ancient cultures then just leave and never come back? What was the purpose of it? I mean they haven’t been back to refuel at the Grant Pyramid of Giza or the Temple of the Sun. Maybe my little joke about them catching an earth disease they had no immunity to, is true and we live on a planet that has been declared a biohazard zone, or they were wiped out. It just doesn’t make any sense. The Ancient Aliens crew also say that aliens have used genetic engineering to splice their DNA with Neanderthals to make us. That must be the 2% we don’t share with Neanderthals or the 60% of our DNA that we don’t share with a banana. I joke, but it is a fact that there is Neanderthal DNA in all of us.
